Camp DIspatches
Hey Campers,
We are just nine short weeks away from camp. Here at GLP HQ we are practicing our giant string bubble skills, double checking our chocolate reserves, and polishing our pool toys. We’re also putting the final touches on our workshops, plotting secret activities, and filling up your swag bags!
Today we want to share a few reminders, a sneak peek into a few of the AHHH-MAZING workshops we have planned for this year’s Camp.

First things first, if you’re not in the Camp GLP Facebook Group, you gotta get in on that! One of the things we love about Camp is that it’s not just a once-a-year thing, it’s a thriving community all year long.
Workshop Sneak Peek
We have so many awesome workshops this year and wanted to share the line-up to give you a little taste of the magic awaiting you in August. We’ll share the full descriptions with you in the coming weeks. Registration for workshops will begin mid-July.
Transportation Details
As we get closer to Camp we know you’re starting to plan your method of travel. Below are almost every possible way to get to Camp (we didn’t mention airdropping in or camel caravan, but we wouldn’t put it past some of you to arrive that way!).
Train: You can take the train from New York City to Middletown, NY. From there, we’ll have complimentary shuttle service to bring you to Camp!
Bus: Or, if you’d prefer, you can take a bus from the big Apple to Monticello, NY. Complimentary shuttle service will bring you and a bunch of your new friends to Camp from there.
Car: You can also drive to Camp! #roadtrip
Rideshare: If you want to make the drive with a friend, you can find folks to ride with (or to ride with you) on our rideshare form.
Charter Bus: Flying into either Newark or LaGuardia airports? You can hop aboard our charter buses.
- For LaGuardia, you have the option to purchase a spot on the charter bus TO Camp, FROM Camp, or Roundtrip.
- And if you’re coming into Newark, same thing. Hop aboard the charter bus TO Camp, FROM Camp, or Roundtrip.
Not sure how you want to travel to Camp yet? No worries, you still have plenty of time to decide (just keep your eyes on these Camp dispatches so you don’t miss any key deadlines). And you can always find Camp transportation information on the Camp GLP site under the tab, “Directions.”
